Dr. Mauricio Taborda is a specialist in Periodontics and Implant Dentistry, with extensive experience in advanced oral surgery and implant rehabilitation. After graduating from UNIPLAC-DF in Brasília, Brazil, in 2004, he completed his specialist training in Periodontics before pursuing a two-year postgraduate program in Implant Dentistry at ABO-DF.

Since 2006, Dr. Mauricio has dedicated his clinical practice exclusively to surgical dentistry, treating a wide range of complex periodontal and implant cases. Before relocating to Dubai in 2011, he successfully managed his own specialist practice in Brasília, Brazil. He is currently licensed as an Implantologist in Dubai and is an active member of the Brazilian Dental Association (ABO), the Brazilian Society of Periodontology (SOBRAPE), and the International Team for Implantology (ITI).

Committed to continuous professional development, Dr. Mauricio has completed advanced training with internationally renowned experts in the United States, Germany, France, and Hungary. His postgraduate education includes programs at Team Atlanta with Dr. Maurice Salama, the Steigmann Institute with Dr. Marius Steigmann, and the Urban Regeneration Institute with Dr. Istvan Urban, further strengthening his expertise in advanced implantology and bone regeneration.

Dr. Mauricio performs a comprehensive range of surgical procedures, including surgical tooth extractions, impacted wisdom tooth removal, exposure of impacted teeth for orthodontic treatment, placement of orthodontic skeletal anchorage devices, periodontal surgery, crown lengthening for gummy smile correction, soft tissue grafting, bone grafting, sinus augmentation, and dental implant placement.

He has extensive experience in both straightforward and complex implant rehabilitation, including immediate loading protocols, single-tooth implants, full-arch restorations, and All-on-4® and All-on-6® treatments.
